My Role: CG Supervision | On-Set Supervision

The mission of this project was to preserve the authenticity of the Minecraft assets as they appear in the game, while adding subtle details to integrate them into the real world.
This project is particularly meaningful to me since it was the first I supervised at MPC LA and my introduction to set supervision.
As a Set-Supervisor I was responsible for capturing HDRI images, chrome ball and color chart plates and reference photography. Back at the studio as a CG Supervisor, some of my tasks included initiating the pipeline for integrating the in-game assets into our production workflow, artist task oversight, progressive feedback sessions for both creative and technical aspects, and presenting stages of our work to the client for approval
It was exciting to be involved in a project with stylized creatures and assets that, while needing to feel integrated, were clearly CGI.
